Our Wines*

Bat Cave White

Our Sauvignon Blanc, this wine is made from grapes grown in New Zealand. Herby and grassy in flavor, this is a refreshing white drinking wine with a light easy finish that cleanses the palate.

Viognier

Our first wine to be harvested from Henderson County grapes, our Viognier was sourced and hand-picked from Burnt Shirt Vineyards in Hendersonville.  Strongly aromatic with tones of tropical fruits, it’s a dry white with hints of stone fruit and honey.  A great white to serve with spicy dishes or seafood. 

Sandburg’s Goat

Sandburg’s Goat is our Chardonnay.  Semi-sweet and lightly aged with French oak, it has subtle vanilla notes on the nose and has a semi-sweet almost vegetal body that ends with a pleasing minerality.  Would pair nicely with soft, subtle cheeses such as triple creams or brie.

Lake Lure

Lake Lure is our Riesling with grapes from Germany.  Crisp, light and semi-sweet, our current batches are aged on toasted French oak, adding a smoky quality with notes of vanilla.  The finish is long and smooth, with a nice nuance of the oak.

Sauvignon Blanc

Made from locally harvested grapes, this limited-batch of Sauv Blanc is from 2011 grapes.  Mild and grassy with just a little acid on the tongue, it’s got a nice hint of vanilla due to aging with French oak.

Old Kanuga Red

Our first dry red, Old Kanuga is a Cabernet Sauvignon.  In traditional keeping, our Cab is heavy on tannin with oak being added both in primary fermentation as well as during aging.  It’s a strong, forward red with a bite, perfect for you bold red lovers!

Horse Shoe Red

Light-bodied, Horse Shoe Red is a Chianti-style wine made from a blend of primarily Sangiovese grapes grown in Northern Italy.  Tannic, peppery & surprisingly smooth, this is a juicy red that pairs well with red sauces and red meats.

Stallion Part 3

A rich, dry red, Amarone is one of our most decadent wines.  Made from grapes that have been dried prior to pressing, the result is a sumptuous, low acid red wine that has complex characteristics of raisin and caramel.  Excellent as a special occasion bottle.

Bat Cave Red

Light and velvety smooth, Bat Cave Red is a red blend of 75% oaked Merlot & 25% unoaked Cabernet Sauvignon.  Lighter than your typical Cab/Merlot blend, it’s an excellent red to drink on it’s own or paired with a lighter meal.

Stubby Black

Aptly named for the cat that lives next to the winery, Stubby Black is our Blackberry Merlot.  Sweet and surprisingly bold with the yummy taste of fresh blackberries.  It can be enjoyed anytime and is designed to be served chilled.

One Pink Toe

Our flagship wine, One Pink Toe is a blend of fresh raspberries and White Zinfandel.  Made even more decadent with a piece of flourless chocolate torte, this is one of our most popular wines that goes over particularly well with those who enjoy blush wines.

Eves White

Our featured wine during Hendersonville’s Apple Festival, Eve’s White is a sweet-sour wine, bringing together the tart favor of green apples with spicy Gewürztraminer wine.

Blue-Pom Blush

In honor of the winery’s resident Pomeranian comes Blue-Pom Blush, our Blueberry Pomegranate White Merlot.  A tangy, slightly yappy fusion of sweet blueberries and tart pomegranate, this is a stellar fruit wine that should be enjoyed chilled.  Dog optional!

Cabin Creek Red

Our Acai-Raspberry Cabernet Sauvignon is a delicious, sweet blush wine bursting with the flavor of fresh raspberries (minus the seeds!) with just a hint of earthy acai. It’s a great dessert wine and does particularly well with fresh fruit.

Eros & Psyche (Strawberry Riesling)

February

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, celebrate any kind of love with Eros & Psyche, a delicate blend of soft strawberry and sweet yet tart Riesling.  Paired with some milk chocolate, it’ll make you (or the recipient) melt!

Downpatrick’s Blend (Kiwi Melon Pinot Grigio)

March

Happy St.Patrick’s Day!  As an alternative to the inevitable green-tinted beverage, Downpatrick’s Blend is a dye-free kiwi-melon Pinot Grigio!  Sweet, tart and bracingly refreshing, it’s the perfect accompaniment to this traditionally beer-oriented holiday!

Osterhas White (Tangerine Lemon Sauvignon Blanc)

March – April

As welcome and refreshing as spring, Osterhas White is a delicate, citrusy taste of tangerine and lemon blended with Sauvignon Blanc.  Served chilled, this is the perfect sweet wine to sip on a porch, or pool-side!

Nantahala White (Peach Chardonnay)

May

Like biting into a ripe juicy peach, our Nantahala White is a sweet white wine that blends peaches and Chardonnay. Sip chilled on a hot day, it also pairs well when splashed upon a scoop of vanilla ice cream or blended in sangria.

All Hallows Eve (Cabernet-Merlot)

October

A robust, heart-stopping red, All Hallows Eve is a creepy blend of Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot.  With an initial bite, not unlike a vampire, of tannin, it quickly mellows out into a smooth finish.  It has a bright, fruity aroma and holds hints of berries in it’s flavor.  A screamingly fantastic Halloween night wine!

Bone Dry White (Gewurztraminer)

Sure to send shivers up and down your spine, Bone Dry White is our German Gewürztraminer.  Loosely translated as “spice wine”, this is a spooky er, spicy white that is devilishly aromatic & finishes off-dry.  It’s especially potent when served slightly above chilled, like any good poison should be.

Demon’s Blood (Seville Orange Sangria)

Demon’s Blood is an evilly sweet Seville Orange Sangria.  This addicting concoction will tempt you to the last drop with it’s sweet Rioja & juxtaposing bitter Seville orange essence.  Demonically good served warm, or chilled like a body in the morgue.

Turkey Snood Red (Shiraz)

November

An excellent, well-rounded Shiraz, Turkey Snood Red is a dry red table wine.  Our version is less tannic than other reds such as Cabernet, but has a strong earthiness to it, making it a nice robust wine for the holiday table.  Gobble gobble gobble!

Foliage White (Verdicchio)

A lovely, light Verdicchio, Foliage White is a high-acid white wine with hints of citrus.  This year, we blended it with locally picked Petit Manseng to add a tropical nose and velvety body.  Perfect for cool, fall days before the desire for warming reds kicks in!

Vaccinium Red (Cranberry Chianti)

Named for cranberry’s genus, Vaccinium Red offers the ultimate fusion of cranberries & Chianti that is particularly at home during the holidays.  Served alongside turkey & stuffing, a chilled glass or two is a welcome alternative to Ocean Spray!

Sleigh Bed (Super Tuscan blend)

December

A delightfully rich n’ jammy Super Tuscan blend of native Italian grapes, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot.
Oaked with both French & American oak, Sleighbed Red is a stellar red wine for your holiday table.

Bentley White (Pinot Grigio)

A lovely Italian Pinot Grigio, Bentley White is a medium-bodied white wine that is slightly off-dry, with just a hint of sweetness.  Crisp, acidic and fruity, it’s a wonderful addition to a holiday season full of heavy reds.

(Black Current White Merlot)

A festive fusion of juicy black currents and White Merlot, Reindeer Games is the perfect sweet addition to your holiday table.  Light, tangy and perfect in a chilled glass, it would also make a complimentary addition to a hot mull.

Zirconia Blush (Watermelon White Merlot)

Perfect for the heat of summer, our Zirconia Blush is a refreshing mix of watermelon and white Merlot.  Delightfully light pink in hue, with a delicate melon aroma and flavor to compliment, this wine is fantastic in a margarita and also as a pairing with light summer salads.
